RP-120-01 is a compact military-grade router designed for use in IP-based communication systems deployed in both mobile and stationary configurations. Its primary role is to establish a backbone-access layer in field and distributed ICT networks based on the IP protocol. The device enables integration of both modern and legacy communication systems by supporting Ethernet interfaces alongside asynchronous and synchronous RS-232C serial ports.
The RP-120-01 is specifically engineered for operation on the move, making it an ideal solution for installation in:
- communication shelters,
- command and support containers,
- specialized military vehicles.
The RP-120-01's design allows for mounting in three different positions, facilitating installation depending on available space and vehicle configuration. However, due to mechanical and electromagnetic resistance requirements, it should not be mounted directly onto a vehicle’s armor or the container wall structure. For proper operation and to ensure the device’s longevity, dedicated shock-absorbing mounting elements—provided by Transbit—must be used.
