Radio links for UAVs
Transbit radio links constitute a key component of Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) communication systems, providing reliable and secure transmission of video streams, telemetry data, as well as control and management signals between the UAV and the ground control station. The use of Software Defined Radio (SDR) technology enables continuous system evolution — allowing integration of new sensors and implementation of software updates without the need for hardware replacement.
Transbit radio links are designed for the most demanding tactical-class (MALE) UAVs, carrying multiple sensors and operating over extended ranges, as well as for lightweight MICRO-class platforms. These links are characterized by high data throughput, stable connectivity, and strong resistance to electromagnetic interference, ensuring effective operation in dynamic and contested battlefield environments.
SMR-10-S
Airborne Radio Module
An advanced radio module designed for installation onboard an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV), providing a data, management, and control link between the UAV and the ground control station. Intended for integration with the ground modules BMR-10-N1 and BMR-10-P.
BMR-10-N1
Ground Radio Module
The BMR-10-N1 radio module provides encrypted, interference-resistant communication between the ground control station and an unmanned aerial vehicle equipped with the SMR-10-S onboard module, forming a complete data- and command-exchange system between the operator and the aerial platform.
BMR-10-P
Portable Ground Radio Module
An advanced radio module in a lightweight, compact enclosure, providing secure and reliable data transmission from the UAV to forward-deployed soldier units. Integrated with the SMR-10-S module.
