SMR-10-S is a highly specialized airborne radio module designed for integration onboard tactical-class MALE Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs). It enables bidirectional radio communication over distances exceeding 150 km under Line-of-Sight (LoS) conditions. The device provides real-time, high-throughput data transmission, including high-definition video streams, Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) data, UAV telemetry, and flight control commands.
The system operates in software-defined, variable-bandwidth channels, allowing dynamic adjustment of transmission parameters. Thanks to Software Defined Radio (SDR) technology, the SMR-10-S can be rapidly reconfigured and upgraded with new functionalities without requiring hardware replacement.
The module interfaces with a set of three antennas – two omnidirectional and one directional – enabling flexible adaptation of the radio link to mission profiles and operational environments. Frequency Hopping and Forward Error Correction (FEC, Viterbi algorithm) mechanisms provide high resistance to jamming and interference, ensuring link stability and data integrity even during combat missions and under adverse propagation conditions.
