The KO-2G-01 converters are designed to provide digital links with a data rate of 2048 kb/s (G.703 standard) using two multimode optical fibers (62.5/125 µm or 50/125 µm). The electrical interface complies with ITU-T G.703 (balanced 120 Ω).

The devices can be used to build dedicated transmission links or as access to high-capacity telecommunication networks. They can connect to remote communication equipment via the G.703 interface, enabling access to transmissions from 64 to 2048 kb/s as well as analog subscriber lines.

The devices are intended for operation in mobile conditions.
