2025 Regional IAMD Coalitions Conference

The event was organized by the Missile Defense Advocacy Alliance, the Military University of Technology from Warsaw, and the Armament Agency of the Polish Ministry of National Defence.

The conference brought together representatives from academia, industry, government, and the armed forces—creating a platform for cooperation among participants committed to strengthening NATO’s and its allies’ air defense capabilities.
Among the honorary guests were:
🔹 Stanisław Wziątek – Undersecretary of State at the Ministry of National Defence
🔹 Brig. Gen. Prof. Przemysław Wachulak, PhD Eng. – Rector-Commandant of WAT
🔹 Thomas Goffus – Deputy Assistant Secretary General at NATO
🔹 Brig. Gen. Tomasz Lenart – NATO CAOC, Germany
🔹 Maj. Gen. Christopher Yancy – U.S. Air Forces in Europe– Africa

Key topics addressed during the conference included:
- The development of missile defense systems within NATO and the U.S.,
- Technical aspects of regional air defense,
- Building Poland’s defense capabilities in cooperation with European and U.S. allies,
- Development of the European and allied defense industry.

Poland was highlighted as a model example of integrated air defense development and a comprehensive approach by the Polish Armed Forces—exemplified by the WISŁA, NAREW, and PILICA+ programs, as well as the implementation of the IBCS system. It was emphasized that Poland’s model should be promoted across Europe, particularly in Central Europe. Achieving this goal requires close collaboration between public institutions and both domestic and international defense industries. The ongoing war in Ukraine has made it unmistakably clear how vital effective air defense is for national security.

Transbit actively contributes to the development of Polish Armed Forces' air defense capabilities. Its R-460AM Radio Relay was the first non-U.S. communications device integrated with the C2–IBCS command and control system within the Patriot system—across all global users. It serves as a key component of the Integrated Fire Control Network (IFCN) and, along with other Transbit network devices, fulfills a network management function. Transbit acts as a communications and ICT Systems integrator for the WISŁA, NAREW, and PILICA+ programs.

Transbit was one of the partners of the IAMD 2025 conference. The main partners included Northrop Grumman, Raytheon, Lockheed Martin, MBDA, and PGZ.
