MSH‑4 is a versatile SHDSL modem with built-in Ethernet switch functionality, designed for creating wide-area tactical IP networks. It connects remote nodes equipped with 10/100Base‑TX Ethernet or 100Base‑FX fiber interfaces and supports symmetric SHDSL transmission in accordance with ITU‑T G.991.2 standards. Using a single-pair PKL 1×2 cable, the device enables reliable and long-distance communication links. 
 
The modem is fully interoperable with both Transbit and third-party equipment, offering flexibility for use in both mobile and stationary IP networks. Its rugged construction allows deployment in shelters, command vehicles, or field bases.
